Great choice for a trip. Hot breakfast with pastries and bacon. service. - Excellent and marvelous location on the edges of the frame. - Just off an old castle, the dual carriageway, and the island visited by Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

Fixtures and fittings very good and in character with the hotel.
Having driven all day from Murcia, we arrived on Sunday night to be told that the restaurant was closed but that we could eat in the cafeteria (which meant in the bar). As we were very tired and it was pouring with rain and there were no other places to eat nearby we ate there. There was no hot food other than a baggette, which was served still cold in the middle. Breakfast was a mixture of cakes so we had 2 peices of toast. There was no meat, cheese or rolls offered, nor any cereals or fresh fruit. All of which we were offered (and more), in a similarly priced 2* hotel in St. Malo, France. Generally very poor value for money especially as we did not want to stay the second night but still had to pay in full.

The location was stunning and magnificent, short walk to proper Spain, and ferries. I really enjoyed the Spanish-style building and my well-equipped and generous sized room for sink or bath. It was equipped with a safe box, a mini bar and central heating.

We liked the location, the ambience and the welcoming feel of the Hotel, and the lacation suited us perfectly. The restaurant was brilliant exceptional value and super service, it would be hard to beat anywhere...
The Television in the room did not work(a minor point really) and although the location suited us I do not think it is the place for everybody.

Excellent stop over hotel on our journey from the ferry to Monte Pego. Staff excellent (especially our waiter) dinner superb value. Rooms very comfortable and made to feel welcome. So impressed that we booked the hotel for our return in July.
Very near a busy road but the traffic noise did not worry us.

We liked the Hotel Castillo Bonavia because it was very clean, comfortable and the staff very helpful. My husband and I only speak very little Spanish but to find a hotel in a small village with staff that spoke English was very good.
The only thing I can think of that was a problem was that the breakfast wasnt very good but apart from that everything was super.
